Join us to celebrate Earth Day at Strawberry Plains! We will begin the morning with a program on the history of conservation in the United States, including the creation of the Environmental Protection Agency, Clean Air and Clean Water Act, and the history of Earth Day. We will then split into groups with different opportunities fit to you and your families' age and interests. We will have
• Kids Hike in Sandy Creek, identifying track and sign, while picking up litter that has flowed in from off site.
• Invasive Species removal around Central Campus and our new children's Nature Scape
• Invasive Species removal at our MAPS station bird banding and mist net locations.
Spaces are limited and registration is required. Contact Mitch at firstname.lastname@example.org or 662-252-1155 to reserve your spot.
Donations are welcome, but this event is FREE to the public and we will provide tools, herbicide, trash bags and drinking water. Feel free to bring a picnic lunch and join the group afterwards!
