Join us for Strawberry Plain's 11th Annual Winter Bird Count. This fun morning of bird surveying takes place every January, engaging and educating local volunteers and participants on our winter bird species, while highlighting the importance of Citizen Science projects for measuring long-term trends in species abundance through time.

Join our volunteers and friends from the Memphis chapter of the TN Ornithological Society, Ole Miss Birders, the MS Ornithological Society and local Audubon chapters. We will have coffee and light morning snacks for everyone as we gather before splitting in groups to hike and survey the winter bird population of the various habitats in SPAC's 2,600 acres and adjacent Duck Pond.

After surveys, return to the Center for a hot lunch of chili and cornbread where we will tally every group's number to add to eBird and our long-term survey.

This event is FREE and open to all ages and skill levels. NOTE: We will be in the elements for several hours hiking, so please dress and plan accordingly.

To register and receive more info, contact Mitch at mrrobinson@audubon.org or 662-252-1155.
